Can I move my existing mutual funds to you?

Accepted Answer

Existing units stay where they are — you do not need to sell anything, and selling for the sake of switching distributor is usually a bad idea because of exit loads and capital gains tax. What can change is who services the folio going forward. Bring your statement in and we will tell you honestly whether moving anything is worth the cost.

Do I need to come to your office in Nagpur?

Not usually. KYC and onboarding are digital now, and most of our clients complete everything from their phone. That said, our office is in Shanti Nagar and if you would rather sit across a table for the first conversation, that is often the better way to do it.

Is a Nagpur distributor better than an app?

For the transaction itself, honestly, no — an app is perfectly good at buying units. The difference shows up elsewhere: when a redemption gets stuck, when a nominee has to claim, when a bank mandate fails, or when you are about to do something in a panic that you will regret. That is the part an app does not do.

There is no separate fee. The cost sits inside the regular plan's expense ratio as a trail commission. The honest framing is that a direct plan of the same fund costs slightly less each year, and you should know that before you choose. We set the difference out plainly on our approach page.
